How to DIY Rhinestone Art and Rhinestone Painting

Let’s take a peek and open the box, fellow crafters.

Here’s a closer look of the box. It can be recycled too!

It comes with a drilling pen to pick and point the beads easily to the canvas. I bought a permanent marker to be used in marking the bead leftovers later. The blue plate is used as a bead tray to keep the beads in order. And if you noticed that little piece on the photo, it is called the bead glue. That comes with a clear cover to prevent dirt from salvaging it. It is used for the drilling pen to pick beads easier. Let us check more on that later.

The photo shows the set of beads for the whole project. Number of beads depend on the number of colors needed for the chosen design.

I zoomed in the photo to capture the self adhesive built within the canvas so that the beads will not fall. It is really sticky so it was covered with a clear plastic so you have to be careful in working on it and do not uncover the whole canvas if you cannot work on the project in only one sitting. You can uncover only the portion you want to work on for that moment.

Don’t worry about how you can follow with the pattern because there is a printed legend on the canvas too. First check the printed pattern then find the appropriate beads by using this legend

This is a closer look of the printed pattern on the canvas. It shows the area where needed beads will be with the number 1 and 2 right? The left photo shows the code for the beads which should be put in that area. Find for the bead set and pour it on your bead plate like shown in the photo below.

Pour the beads on the plate and shake it moderately to spread and to turn on its flat side so that it will be easier for you to pick it up.

Get the piece of glue shown earlier and remove the top cover (it is covered on both sides so open whichever side you want). Put a little glue on the pen by just picking a portion at the edge as shown on the photo.

The hollow point of  your pen now will be filled with glue so you are ready to pick the beads and point it on the canvas.

Pick a bead from the plate…

..then point it on the appropriate symbol. Do this repeatedly until the particular symbol is filled or covered.

It will look better and better while you fill it in with rhinestone beads.

Here are sample photos of a different design we worked on earlier.
